Polishing process

The stainless steel polishing process is a process used to improve the surface finish and aesthetics of stainless steel. The main steps are:

  • Surface treatment: First, the stainless steel surface needs to be checked to ensure that there are no obvious defects, oxidation or stains. Then use professional cleaners and cloths to clean the surface to remove impurities such as dust and grease.
  • Belt grinding: Use a belt grinder for belt grinding, and remove the rough surface through a gradually fine grinding process to achieve smoothness requirements.
  • Polishing agent treatment: The stainless steel surface is coated with a polishing agent, which can be a solid polishing agent or a liquid polishing agent. The role of the polishing agent is to provide lubrication and grinding during the polishing process.
  • Mechanical polishing: Mechanical polishing is performed using a polishing machine, usually using a rotating polishing brush or polishing wheel. Polishing heads of different coarseness are used as needed, and the polished convex parts are removed by cutting and plastic deformation of the material surface to obtain a smooth surface.
  • Electrolytic polishing: For products that require higher brightness, the electrolytic polishing process can be used. Electrolytic polishing can improve the surface finish without changing the size. The basic principle is the same as chemical polishing, which is to selectively dissolve the tiny protrusions on the surface of the material to make the surface smooth.
  • Cleaning and pickling: After polishing, the stainless steel surface needs to be cleaned to remove the polishing agent and contaminants generated during the polishing process. Then pickling is carried out to remove oxides that may remain on the surface.
  • Drying: Dry the stainless steel products to ensure that there are no water marks on the surface.
  • Surface inspection: Perform a final surface inspection to ensure that the required finish and brightness standards of the product are met.

The Stamping Process

Metal stamping is a manufacturing process that forms coil or flat sheet material into a specific shape. A blank coil or sheet is fed into a stamping press, which uses tools and dies to form features and surfaces into the metal. Metal stamping is an excellent way to mass produce a wide range of complex parts, from automotive door panels and gears to small electrical components used in cell phones and computers. The stamping process is widely used in the automotive, elevator, construction, medical, and other industries. Stamping, which includes a variety of forming techniques, such as blanking, punching, embossing, and progressive die stamping, may be used alone or in combination with other methods, depending on the complexity of the part.
